I've been at the National Gathering all day setting up the Rubbish Church which took for ever. But it is all set to happen tomorrow. Hopefully the sun will shine most of the weekend but whatever happens it's all going to happen anyway. Hope to see you all there.

have just realised that my lie-lows are inflated using an electric pump and there's no electricity at the camp site !!!!!
eh, no husband !!!! my better half went to ARgos first thing on Saturday morning and bought a battery operated pump !
a good weekend; met lots of folk - including a crazy guy from Inverness whose originally from Hardgate ! (or was it his granda who was from Hardgate ?)
oh, and before anyone else mentions it, yes we did leave Clydebank on Saturday morning, drive half way to the Gathering then discover we had left the tickets in the house !!!! it all adds to the excitement of the weekend;
anyway, having camped over at The Gathering(unlike some, Rev) I'm off now to have a long soak in a very bubbly bath with a lovely glass of white chilled to perfection;
A few folk commented on the numbers involved at our tents, but I think that the "campers" from Abbotsford did themselves proud with the TWO tents that they set up AND managed over the TWO days. I enjoyed my wee visit and won't be washing my right hand for the rest of the week... I shook hands with the Moderator who seemed to be a close pal of Evelyn.
I am not worthy!
And let me say it again Roddy. YOUR church WAS rubbish... but beautifully formed!!!
re the national gathering over the weekend i thought it was marvellous.everybody i spoke to seemed very happy to be there. met many new and old friends there. lets keep up the good work. the folk from abbotsford enjoyed themselves i did i know.
Fairly traditional with new creative moments each week. An attempt to engage all the senses with people who don't always go for the linear approach. Lots of questions and few answers, a little movement and lots of layers for all ages. A community attempting to grow, celebrate and adventure. Every week.
