We told you about a month ago that the Olympic Flame would be passing through Clydebank on its way round Britain.
But what has Clydebank now got in common with Barcelona, Oslo, Turin, Reims and Warsaw?
The answer is here
Yes! On Sunday 29th January 2012, Clydebank, along with the above lesser known places (!), will be one of the starting points for the Monte Carlo Rally and will see 100 classic cars starting off on the 2000 mile journey.
The starting point will be in the shadow (if the sun shines!) of the famous Titan Crane just down the road from Abbotsford (see pics) at the former John Brown's Yard. This spot is where the Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Elizabeth II and Royal Yacht Brittania were born and started on their epic journey's.
So why not have a great day out and join us at Abbotsford for our morning Service before heading down to the banks of the Clyde.
It could be the start of a journey for you!
All Welcome!
