This Sunday we have a contemporary communion coming up at 6.30. They style over the last season has been to arrive and design the worship space ands then let the worship happen, mainly by me, but without the aid of a safety net or script or liturgy. It always happens: bread is always broken with reverence, memory and passion, and wine is always shared with promise, thoughtfulness and Jesus.
So I'll be there about 5.30/5.45 on Sunday evening and if wnyone else wishes to join me, we can together make the space for worship. Let the inspiration flow.
There will also be space of words from others. Silence is good too. Thus the priesthood of all believers comes into its own and all God's People can speak their own liturgy of life, blessing the bread and telling the story as they do so. I'm looking forward to it already. Let's see what the Spirit has in store for us this time.
