Today we saw the beginning of the budding of the church in the murkier waters that is the world rather than the warm glow of resurrection. It's quite tricky and this weeks big question will show us that quite clearly.
The passage for Sunday coming is John 15:9-17 where Jesus talks ab out being the true vine. It is a well known passage so why not read it again, and then once more, and see if there is anything you hadn't noticed before. What is new for you in the passage.
Does it relate to the budding of the church? In what way? What issues does this passage speak into?
And what will we do with the tree.the yellow and white blooms have gone and there are crimson and turquoise buds all ready for Pentecost, slowly growing. Any ideas...
