I'm gong to post some of the worship from the carberry festival over last week here. A number of people asked for copies of bits and bobs and so I said I'd post it here as well as email it to anyone who wishes. So here is Sunday last week. The theme for the whole week was making a complete spectacle of themselves whih related to the 20-20 Vision theme for the whole festival being in its 20th year.

Prayer
What journeys we have had!
What friendships we have made!
What discoveries we have stumbled on?
What laugher we have been filled with
What sadness we share too!
God of journeys
journey with us once more
from this unique group of people
to the next strangers we meet
and friends we return to
God of journeys
guide our travels
let us meet Jesus again
in each person we meet
and may we continue to make
a complete spectacle of ourselves
every day
in the name of love
and truth
and grace
Always
and forever
So be it
Amen
Small Shout: Lord’s Prayer in different versions
God,
who has stepped out of heaven,
creation honours you with a new song each day.
May justice be born,
and love be done -
here and now;
may bellies be filled,
and lives renewed;
may journeys always find light
and not the darkness;
and may the big love,
the big truth,
and the big dream,
be yours for ever and ever.
So be it.

Song
You are holy, you are whole (Seasons of the Spirit)
During the singing, pass out bowls of variety sweets and ask folk to chose their favourite but not to eat it just yet.
Following the song, comment how everyone has chosen their favourite sweet but now they are asked to give their favourite away symbolising that we will dedicate our very best to God, giving away what we do best for the sake of others, for the sake of God, for the sake of love.
Now people can eat it.

Prayers for others
Each character that has made a complete spectacle of themselves leads prayers for those they represent. After each prayer they pour a glass of water into the pool representing their prayers.
Noah – willing to believe the impossible
Sarah – those whose lives need to be renewed with hope
Jonah – those willing to go to a different place
Miriam – the young
Zacchaeus – those on the edge
The Prodigal – those not with us
Mary – those willing to see the impossible
John Cross – all of us
Song
The right hand of God (CH4)
Big Thanks
Sending Out
Following the sending out, invite people to place their hand in the prayers (the water in the pool) and to make a hand print in the place where they have been blessed or found blessing this week.
May the sky stretch above you;
may your day be as deep as it is long;
may each breath you take expand with grace;
and this evening may God write your name
in the sunset.
