A good passage I can't ever remember preaching on. How did that happen. Anyway, it's one of the thrtee versions of Pauls Damascus Road experience. Each version is slightly different and this is the first version.
Acts 9:1-6 (7-20). I'd read the whole thing which the parenthesis allows us to do.
So go and have a good read. Then you can explain it to me. Maybe it happened just like that and maybe it didn't. As far as fact is concerned it doesn't really concern me. What's the truth in the story? What's it trying to say to us, not in any moral sense but as theological sense? Bright lights, a call for confession, blindness and a change of name. It all add up to something God-like.
So, hymns?
Symbols?
Music?
Ways of retelling the story?
Stray thoughts?
What word jumped out at you?
What made you laugh?
What made you sit up straight?
