...and a drunkard apparently if you read Luke 7:31-35. So that's what we are focusing on this week: Jesus liked a good party, he liked socialising and some of his best encounters and prostylising was done round the table so should we have some communion liturgy?
What songs and hymns offer that same invitation to people today? What popular songs also have that same theme?
If Jesus was a good eater and found the way into God's Realm round a meal table then who shall we invite and are manners important? And should we have something after worship (which would still actually be part of worship) that puts into action what we will have just read and said we believe in? It's when you have to turn your beliefs into action you really find out what you really believe. So party time on Sunday becasue that seems to be the best way to get into the kingdom. So how come we end up making the feast of the kingdom so dull sometimes?
