WHO ARE WE? • We are married, not married, single, separated, divorced and remarried. • We are different generations of brothers, sisters, adults and children. • We are all genders and sexualities, lifestyles and experiences and a few prejudices too. • We are people very new to the church and many who have been here longer than they care to remember. • We are folks who know little about the Bible and those who know quite a bit about it. • We are Sunday morning only members and those who come to everything. • We are beginners on the journey of faith along with those who have travelled quite a distance. • We are people looking for something BIGGER in life. • We are a mix of explorers and traditionalists • We are people who want to be together: caring accepting and loving each other. But most of all... people who want to be together: caring, accepting and loving each other.

Spill the Beans

It's here hot, hot, hot off the press. The second pilot of Spill the Beans for Lent 2011.

Spill the Beans is a resource pack for age group learning and all-age worship written by a few of us in Clydebank, Blantyre, Ayr, Edinburgh, Glasgow and other places who all have the same sort of situations in church of smaller sunday schools and who are looking for a creative approach to worship. The idea of the material is to base everything on the stories of the Bible rather than themes. We let the stories do the talking and all the activites and worship suggested are there to help engage again for the story, link stories together and find our own stories tangles with the faith stories.

You can download it here. One is a smaller file than the other. No difference except image quality. Help yourself. Do let us know if you are going to use it or going to try it out and let us know how you found it.

We hope, depending on this second pilot, to possibly have a whole year's worth of material available from September 2011. We'll keep you updated.

It all very homegrown. It's very real. It's not commercial but based on ideas that would work in our own congregations. It's written for ourselves but we know others have the same sort of situations and communities as we have so it might be useful to others too. If it is then have a go and tell us what you think.
