Most people of a certain age can answer the question "Where were you on the day John F. Kennedy died?"
But where were you on the day C.S. Lewis died?
If you have the answer to question 1 then you also have the answer to Question 2, because both died on the same day, 22nd November 1963.
I was at Ross Memorial Church in Mountblow that day. Well actually the church hall, because it was a Friday - B.B. night.
C. S. Lewis, a 'Christian Apologist' and author of such works as "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is quoted as saying the following...
“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance, the only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
In the last post we asked the question 'How often do you talk about being a Christian?'
Leading on from that we now ask the question "How seriously do you take your Christian faith?"
Is it something that is just for Sunday or, even worse, for Church on a Sunday or, do you practise it 24/7?
Lewis is also quoted as saying “The great thing to remember is that though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not.”
When it comes to love it surely works better when it is shared on an equal basis. If God always loves us, then surely it is only right to always love God by doing what is right and just?
