I have just returned from a 2000 km whirlwind tour of Slovenia, Croatia, & Bosnia Herzegovina.
There was much to do and see and so much history to take in about this beautiful but unfortunately troubled area, still recovering from the ravages of war less than 20 years ago.
It was also nice to meet so many fellow travellers from all over the world and hear their stories and perhaps plant the seeds of a new friendship. More of our trip later (once I have sorted out the 1000+ digital pics taken along the way).
One thing is for certain. No matter how far you travel, it is always good to be back home, even if only to plan the next trip!!!
Our garden is looking lovely following the 'heat wave' over recent days. Onions given to me by a member of our congregation are doing very well and it is great to see my Grandson's pot of Narsturtiums, sown as seeds as part of a Sunday School lesson for Mother's Day (March 10th), looking truly amazing in the summer sunshine (see pic & click on it for a larger version).
We don't always know what lies in front of us, but it is always good to plant seeds and plan for the days ahead! Something that we at Abbotsford and the congregation at our linked charge in Dalmuir Barclay will need to keep in mind over the weeks ahead!
