WHO ARE WE? • We are married, not married, single, separated, divorced and remarried. • We are different generations of brothers, sisters, adults and children. • We are all genders and sexualities, lifestyles and experiences and a few prejudices too. • We are people very new to the church and many who have been here longer than they care to remember. • We are folks who know little about the Bible and those who know quite a bit about it. • We are Sunday morning only members and those who come to everything. • We are beginners on the journey of faith along with those who have travelled quite a distance. • We are people looking for something BIGGER in life. • We are a mix of explorers and traditionalists • We are people who want to be together: caring accepting and loving each other. But most of all... people who want to be together: caring, accepting and loving each other.

To the future...

Well, it has been a summer of ups and downs.

Good news / bad news, sunshine / rain (mostly sunshine!), loads of work to be done / work completed with a smile, no minister / a brand new minister... and on that last thought... we are now looking forward to the induction of that new minister, the Rev. Ruth Morrison, on the 30th September at 7:00pm.

Lots of things are happening around Abbotsford and I am sure that goes for Dalmuir Barclay too.

The place, perhaps allowed to become a wee bit sad for itself here and there, is beginning to get back its old sparkle. Lots still to do, but we are getting there, and with a willing band of helpers keeping their promises to help (I was listening John!) ominous chores become simple tasks.

The organisations will be starting up soon too, so all in all and with a bit of faith, hope and love thrown in, we are ready for what lies ahead.
