Today was Harvest Sunday at Abbotsford and we had an all-age service enjoyed by everyone.
Although we now have a monetary collection on behalf of Glasgow City Mission, it is always nice to see a wee display of produce from the garden and this year was no exception. Although not the sunniest, or indeed warmest of summers, my two year old vegetable plot has produced some lovely veg this year. For the wee display we had tomatoes from the greenhouse and onions, potatoes, leeks, and a lovely big cabbage all from the plot. A lovely Harvest!
Add to that, banners from 'Craft Daft' and the 'Harvest Samba' lead by our Sunday School and you begin to get the picture of an enjoyable morning at Abbotsford.
The cabbage was halved between two of our members, so I hope that the enjoyable morning turned into an enjoyable dinner for them.
A great service lead by our minister, Ruth!
