WHO ARE WE? • We are married, not married, single, separated, divorced and remarried. • We are different generations of brothers, sisters, adults and children. • We are all genders and sexualities, lifestyles and experiences and a few prejudices too. • We are people very new to the church and many who have been here longer than they care to remember. • We are folks who know little about the Bible and those who know quite a bit about it. • We are Sunday morning only members and those who come to everything. • We are beginners on the journey of faith along with those who have travelled quite a distance. • We are people looking for something BIGGER in life. • We are a mix of explorers and traditionalists • We are people who want to be together: caring accepting and loving each other. But most of all... people who want to be together: caring, accepting and loving each other.

'Basket of deplorables' ? - You decide!

Well! It is all over bar the shouting... and you will have to shout pretty loudly if you want to be heard above American presidential candidates!

America (?) has spoken as only it can and elected Donald J. Trump as their 45th President (44th individual if you are a Quiz aficionado).

If the build up is anything to go by, then the future could be very bleak, unless of course you are a member of the paparazzi.

DSC_0297But let us try and look on the bright side and stay positive.
President-elect Trump's mother was from the Western Isles. There has to be something deep in the genes that is good.
Something that will eventually see right from wrong.
Something that will make him worthy of being that 45th President.  

Until then, let us all pray that he is surrounded by people who will guide him sensibly and keep him from doing 90% of the things that he has said he will do during the run up to the elections... and away from the things that he has been reported as having done using his position of power! 

And until then let us put some hope in the words of his 'victory' speech, in that he "will be president for all Americans".
