Now, that stands for European Christian Environmental Network which has just had it's 8th assembly in Prague. I was there. It was hot: the weather rather than the discussion.
There were folk there for every country in Europe which made it good. Lots of people to talk to and find out about. But I found I didn't talk a whole lot of stuff environmentally which kind of interests me. How did that happen?
We had lots of lectures on the first day, but again while good and interesting there was nothing new said about the environment either practically or theologically but again there was lots of blethering and networking, so we fulfilled one of the descriptors in the title.
I've decided, late, that the networking or however you want to call talking to people is always the power behind anything. It's the being part of something that's more important that the being there. Brains work differently and need to be sparked off, need to be part of community, need to be inclusive in order to dream well and reach far.
